It is in our darkest moments that we find the most precious parts of ourselves, We can then learn to love them and integrate them into our conception of who we are, Moving forward as an integrated whole being allows us to flow more easily towards what we desire most in life.
I was led to my profession as a counselor after my own difficult, transformative road to therapy and recovery, and my consistent desire to help others find the way through their darkest times. Growing up with chaos, addiction, and trauma through my early life carved me into being a perfectionist, people pleasing, and caring soul. It is through my own work that I found the strengths in these parts and learned to better understand how to love myself fully. I am still on this journey.
My passion for the mental health field has blossomed on the fertile grounds of my darkest days. It has also ignited an unstoppable desire to learn all I can about therapeutic techniques that can support others in moving through their own transformative experiences in life. I love the journey of finding what techniques work best for clients and then diving in and providing them the tools to feel better. And when the dark times do come, I will sit with you and weather the storm.
