What Therapy Looks Like With Me
Looking to change the way you relate to yourself and others?
Therapy with me is a process of trusting yourself and me to provide a container for your growth. We’ll notice what’s getting in the way of your desires and see what actually works for you.
How I Work
I blend three things:
- Somatic awareness – paying attention to what the body is saying and using that info to guide the session.
- Relational focus – watching how we interact in the room, because the therapist‑client dance often mirrors the patterns you show up with elsewhere.
- Psychodynamic depth – digging into the unconscious stories that drive your feelings and actions.
All of this is held together by the Neuro‑Affective Relational Model (NARM). NARM helps us spot the survival strategies you’ve been running on autopilot and gives us space to try out more authentic, connected ways of relating.
What You’ll Actually Experience
| What we do | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Check‑in with the body – short moments where we notice how your holding your experience. | The body often knows what the mind hasn’t figured out yet. |
| Talk about the here‑and‑now – we’ll notice relational nuances in session. | Seeing the pattern in real time gives us a very alive place to start exploring. |
| Explore recurring themes – dreams, memories, or feelings that keep popping up. | These clues lead us to the deeper impacts that shape your day‑to‑day life. |
| Identify survival-based strategies– the automatic ways you protect yourself. | Once we name them, we can explore choosing different, more authentic responses. |

Your Part (Collaborator)
Therapy works best when you bring your curiosity, honesty, and willingness to try. I’ll meet you wherever you are—whether you’re feeling calm, anxious, lost, or somewhere in between—and I’ll adjust the approach if something feels off. Your feedback shapes every session.
Why This Might Feel Different (And Satisfying)
- Less talk‑only, more focus on being. We use the body as a guide, not just the mind as a reference.
- More relational feedback. Seeing how the way we interact in the room reflects the way you relate elsewhere.
- Straightforward language. I want to use your language as much as possible to provide a collaborative experience of deepening understanding your inner world.
